WorkingFamilies.org is a project of the Working Families Party. We work hard to protect your privacy. We never share or sell your email address or any other information with outside organizations without your permission.

Release Policy By submitting or otherwise making available any User Content through the Service on postcard.workingfamilies.org, you expressly grant, and you represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant, to the Working Families Party and its subsidiaries a royalty-free, sub-licensable, transferable, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, list information regarding, edit, translate, distribute, syndicate, publicly perform, publicly display, and make derivative works of all such User Content and your name, written words, graphics, voice, and/or likeness as contained in your User Content, in whole or in part, and in any form, media or technology, whether now known or hereafter developed, for use in connection with the Service and the Working Families Party’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels.

Petitions and Surveys

For petitions and surveys you’ve signed or completed, we treat your name, city, state, and comments as public information – for example, we may provide compilations of petitions, with your comments, to the President and legislators, other targets, or to the press. We will not make your street address publicly available, but we may transmit it to members of Congress and to the President as part of a petition. This is a standard industry practice in such situations. In no such case will we disclose your email address or phone number without your permission. We may also make your comments, along with your first name, city, and state available to the press and public online.

Sending Emails

In certain cases, we enable you to send individual e-mails to elected officials, and other targets as well as Letters-to-the-Editor to various news publications. These messages are sent in your name, with your e-mail address as the return address and your full name and contact information is provided as part of the submission. These messages will only be sent out under your name as you approve them on an individual basis using our email tool. You are solely responsible for the specific message(s) you send using our email tool.

Coalitions

We may occasionally launch petitions or other campaigns in collaboration with allied organizations, who will be clearly disclosed on the page. If you sign on to join such a campaign, you may also receive updates from those allies. We may share limited contact information with coalition partners for one-time use to advance our campaigns, for example, communicating with you about logistics for an event you’ve signed up to participate in.

Phone Campaigns

From time to time, Working Families staff members, volunteers, and vendors may contact you by telephone about urgent campaigns. If you would like to be removed permanently from our phone list, please contact us here. Please allow 8-10 business days for your information to be removed.
